Something

You see I've found
That I'm not two different guys.
But rather
I have different emotions at different times.

And I've found that I am two different people.
From in my bedroom
And when under the steeple

It's my thoughts that control my mood
Whether they are bright or dark
Whether I am happy, or rude

You see, we are different from each other.
I am so very far from my brother
We're so far, we've forgotten to help one another.

My brother, is you.
And the social media is the distance
And it's killing me.

It's killing me
It's killing you
But it's not

It's mostly my thoughts
It's mostly your thoughts
It's all, just my thoughts.

It's the number one killer for teenagers today
Next to drunk driving
Which is just a distraction from what's underneath.

And what's underneath doesn't show much
Because we'd rather wear a mask
And not talk much
"Don't worry son? What's the rush?"

WE'RE DYING
And no one seems to care
WE'RE DYING
BECAUSE NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE SHARE
It's not time or money
I'm talking Jesus Christ and his love for us, even when we're running.

We're gunning it 0-60 in .2 seconds
The gun to our brains because the automobile is our thoughts.
We think, this'll do it.
Or the knife, as it slides across the checkpoints.
You know what those are.
And only you know if you have that scar.
Inside our minds
Or on outside
We pretend to shine

For the people that love us.
For the people that do care
But we don't even share,
Our feelings?

So hurt by the people that let you down
So scarred by the people that let you fall
That let you fall hearing every sound of your call

So you forget what love is.
You forget that love is this.
And the only unconditional, unfailing love, is his.

My love, though big will not suffice
My talks for you, won't always bring the light.
So how about talk, with the one who gave his life.

For you to be free to talk and feel the love of the father
For your scars to be healed
And his love to be sealed.
